Privacy policy
This page explains what WeiPurr keeps about you when you join the list, what for, who else handles it, for how long, and how to change or delete it. It is short on purpose: if anything is unclear, write to us and we'll answer.
Who is responsible
- Angel Sánchez, who is building WeiPurr.
- You can write to privacy@weipurr.com about anything on this page.
What we use your data for
- To send you Misifú's and Angel's letters by email: what WeiPurr is, how we're building it and why we make each decision.
- To read and answer whatever you reply.
- We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you.
On what basis
- Your consent, given by ticking the box and confirming your address, to send you the letters. You can withdraw it whenever you like, with no consequences.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping your replies, as a record of what people told us while we built WeiPurr, and in keeping proof of your signup and unsubscribe for the time stated below.
What we keep
- Your email address, and when you signed up.
- Whether you confirmed the address, and when, by clicking the link in our first email.
- Whether your subscription is active, waiting for confirmation, or cancelled.
- The language you chose for our emails.
- When we last sent you a confirmation email, whether sending it failed and why, and how many were requested today, so your inbox isn't flooded.
- The random codes in your links to confirm and to unsubscribe.
- A log of each signup, confirmation and unsubscribe, with its time. Each signup also keeps the link you came through (an event's name, for example), the address of the site you signed up on, the version of this policy you agreed to, and the language you chose.
- The replies you send us by email.
The log includes every time someone types your address into the form, even if it isn't you. That's why we never write to you beyond the confirmation email until you confirm.
What we don't keep or measure
- Your IP address.
- Your device or browser.
- The rest of the address you came from, including ad identifiers.
- Whether you open our emails: they carry no tracking pixel.
- The links you click in our emails.
- Your visits to the site: there are no analytics.
If we ever measure any of this, we'll say so here first, in a new version of this policy.
Who else handles it
- Supabase stores the list, on servers in the European Union.
- Resend sends the letters, from its European region.
- Cloudflare hosts the site, and receives your replies and forwards them to our inbox.
- Google hosts that inbox, in Google Workspace, where we read and answer your replies.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. When your data leaves the European Union, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- If you don't confirm your address, your signup expires after 14 days and is deleted. You can sign up again whenever you like.
- While you stay on the list, we keep your data.
- If you unsubscribe, we keep the record of your signup and unsubscribe for 3 years, only as proof that you consented and that we stopped writing to you. Then we delete it.
- Your replies we keep even after you unsubscribe, unless you ask us not to.
- If you ask us to delete everything, we delete your data from the list and your replies. Of your replies, at most we keep what you said, with nothing that identifies you.
How to unsubscribe
- Every email has a link to unsubscribe, next to your partly hidden address. Pressing the button on that page takes you off the list at once.
- If your email app shows an unsubscribe button, that works too.
- We send you one last email confirming the unsubscribe, with its date and time, and a link in case you want to come back.
- Coming back means signing up again: with a new confirmation and a new consent.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere;
- stop using it while we sort out a question, or not use it for a particular purpose;
- withdraw your consent, at any time.
Write to privacy@weipurr.com from the address that's on the list, so we know it's you. We answer within a month.
If something doesn't sit right with you, we'd rather you wrote to us so we can fix it. Either way, you have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), at www.aepd.es.
Children
If you are under 14, please don't sign up: the law doesn't let you give this consent yourself.
Cookies
The site uses a single cookie, and only when you choose a language: it remembers your choice. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here. If the change affects what we keep about you, we write to you first.
